Tapa freshly roasted coffee beans
Tapa offers a range of unique & interesting coffees that we roast in small batches for freshness. We sell our beans by weight and can grind them to your requirements.
Coffee, like bread, is best when it’s freshly roasted and freshly made. Coffee beans lose much of their flavour about two weeks after roasting so fresh is best. We suggest that you keep your coffee beans in an airtight container in a cool dark place.
We source our fine coffee beans from a specialist importer who buys top quality product at fair prices directly negotiated with the growers themselves. We choose certified organic beans when they are available.

The Cup of Excellence
The Cup of Excellence program recognises and rewards the individual farmers who have invested time and effort to create truly exceptional coffee.
Cup of Excellence competitions have a clear, quality-only focus and a stringent selection process – only a very small number of coffees receive this award. The rewards for coffee farmers for participating in the program are considerable because the program aims to raise the standard of coffee production by offering financial support and advice to farmers.
Cup of Excellence coffees are sold in international auctions in which members can purchase directly from premium farmers. Only the best producers qualify for participation in the auctions and the possibility of landing a slot in an auction motivates farmers to improve their growing and processing techniques. Auction coffees are judged by an international jury and can fetch prices in excess of $30.00 per kilo.
Tapa is a member of the Cup of Excellence and is certified as an organic roaster by the Soil Association.
